Electrolytic Technologies' Klorigen System Receives Designation as Qualified Anti-Terrorism Technology from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security
Electrolytic Technologies, LLC announced today that its Klorigen™ technology has received designation as a Qualified Anti-Terrorism Technology ("QATT") by the Department of Homeland Security. To qualify for QATT designation, a technology must demonstrate effectiveness during operational testing or through prior use.
The Klorigen modular systems are designed for the safe and cost-effective on-site production of Chlorine and Sodium Hypochlorite (bleach) at municipal water and wastewater treatment plants and industrial facilities. Electrolytic Technologies offers its plants as conventional capital sales, lease programs and has recently introduced OMC (Operations, Maintenance and Capital) Solutions program that aligns itself well with increasing interest in P3 projects. The company offers support services such as custom plant layouts, field and acceptance testing, system start-up, training, plant monitoring and customizable service and warranty plans.
"Klorigen was first approved as a qualified anti-terrorism technology in 2010," stated company President Derek Lubie. "We successfully renewed our designation for another five years, proving the inherent safety and reliability of the Klorigen technology for the on-site production of chlorine and sodium hypochlorite. We are proud to carry the Safety Act mark on our products."
Bulk chemical deliveries pose a significant safety hazard for both the supply chain and the end users. Klorigen provides a safe alternative to commercially supplied chlorine and sodium hypochlorite by generating the quantities required on-site and on-demand.
