I feel that this will be the trend as our use of potable water rises. We want more water for the growing population, but there is no more. Other places, we have slowly dried up the underground water reserves. To a point, we are already doing this as many potable water treatment plants are down river from a waste water treatment plant. This is just taking the river out of the equation. I also think that the more we start using treated waste water, we will also find more out of the ordinary waste water treatment systems. What we treat in the waste water, we will not have to treat in the potable water side. This might take some of the "sting" out of drinking treated waste water.
