Patented Spiral Water Filter Awarded

Spiral Water Technologies, Inc.is honored at the recent Global Water Awards in Athens, where the company won the 2015 Technology Idol for patented Spiral Water Filter which remove solids ranging in size from 10 to 100um with total suspended solids concentration of up to 25,000 mg/L

Spiral Water CEO Ashwin Gulati received the award from former President of the European Commission and Prime Minister of Portugal Jose Manuel Barroso, after Gulati presented the company's automatic self-cleaning filter technology to the audience attending the prestigious Global Water Summit. Gulati explained how the patented Spiral Water Filter is able to remove solids ranging in size from 10 to 100um with total suspended solids concentration of up to 25,000 mg/L. The unit is capable of filtering up to 100 times dirtier water while using only 10% of the energy and a fraction of the footprint and weight. Panelists questioned each presenter before the audience voted on the technology most likely to live up to the presenter's expectations.

The win highlighted a busy year for Spiral Water, including presentations at the 75th Annual International Water Conference in San Antonio, and the 2015 Innovation Showcase hosted by the Oil & Gas Innovation Center in Houston. Spiral Water will also appear at HydroVision International, the world's largest hydro conference, scheduled for this July in Portland, Oregon.
