Plans afoot to revamp drain network in lower Sindh, India

The provincial government is working on long and short term strategies to improve drain network on the left bank of River Indus to prevent tragedies like the one caused by this year`s heavy monsoon rains in lower Sindh. It has asked a foreign consultancy firms, hired to prepare a master plan for drain network in the area and strengthening the Left Bank Outfall areas, to expedite its work.
