PureBallast System Minimises Environmental Footprint

A new ballast water management system aims to minimise its environmental footprint and installation costs.
Available for flows of 32–1000 m3/h, Alfa Laval PureBallast 3.1 Compact Flex has a footprint up to 20% smaller than that of PureBallast 3.1 – the smallest on the market.
Alfa Laval PureBallast 3.1 Compact Flex system is designed for flows of 32–1000 m3/h
Based on loose components, the technology also reduces installation costs by up to 10%, due to a plug-and-play concept for quick and easy connection.
“Alfa Laval PureBallast 3.1 Compact Flex is economical, both in its use of space and in its installation,” said Anders Lindmark, head of Alfa Laval PureBallast.
PureBallast 3.1 handles high flows and special requirements, while PureBallast 3.1 Compact offers a skid-mounted option. These systems have U.S. Coast Guard type approval, which is also pending for PureBallast 3.1 Compact Flex.
