Scholars to tackle global water challenges at UN institute

Eight scholars are set to begin an 18-month academic program at UNESCO-IHE, the world's largest postgraduate water education facility, in the Netherlands.
The students will be sponsored by Rotary International, an organisation of business and professional leaders who provide humanitarian service and help to build goodwill and peace in the world.
The Rotary and UNESCO-IHE partnership was established in 2011 to address the world's water and sanitation crisis by increasing the ranks of trained professionals critically needed to devise, plan, and implement solutions in developing countries that bear the brunt of the problem.

I am Jimoh Rafiu,an Hydrogeologist by profession from Nigeria.I am one of the Unesco/Rotary scholars selected to pursue an Msc in Water Science and Engineering with specialization in Hydrology and Water Resources in UNESCO-IHE,Institute for Water Education,the world largest water education in the world.This scholarship opportunity is indeed a way of solving water and sanitation problems by increasing the numbers of professional world wide.This is a good idea for the Rotary foundation.
