SNV Bolivia Starts Wastewater Treatment Plant

First Wastewater Treatment Plant in Cliza, Cochabamba Was Inaugurated by SNV Bolivia
The plant is expected to benefit 7,000 city-centre inhabitants, living in an area of approximately 8,000 square meters.
The plant was built within the framework of the SNV Knowledge Network for Decentralised Sustainable Sanitation as a Knowledge Platformprogramme, with support from the Embassy of Sweden.
The total investment for the plant was approximately 4 million bolivianos, with 50% of the funding provided bythe Embassy of Sweden and 50% by the Municipal Government of Cliza.
"It is wonderful to have such a modern wastewater treatment plant that allows us to treat and reuse wastewater,"Cliza mayorAbdón Suyosaid during the inauguration. "The plant has state-of-the-art technology, not only for Valle Alto, but also at departmental and national level."
