So who would buy IDE?

IDE is a great company somewhat humbled by the weak
state of the market. One suggestion is to split the business between the project equity - which might be attractive to an infrastructure fund - and the ongoing desalination technology business, which might go to an East Asian buyer looking for an entry into the desal business (with the expectation
that over time, it can take IDE into Arab markets). A better approach would be to search out a private equity investor who could see the leverage potential in the projectequity, and set the management free to uncover the true potential of the business.
