Sound Global's New Acquisiation

Company Acquires Water and Sewage Treatment Facilities in China

Integrated water and wastewater treatment services provider Sound Global has acquired Bazhong Best Environmental Investment in China.

The deal will give Sound Global ownership of the phase I urban sewage treatment plant project and the phase I urban water supply project in Enyang District, Bazhong City in Sichuan Province.

The phase I urban sewage treatment plant will require an investment of RMB54m and Sound Global has a concession period of 30 years.

The facility has an initial capacity of 15,000m³ and a long-term capacity of 30,000m³.

The phase I urban water supply project will see an investment of RMB89m and will be operated by the company permanently.

The water supply plant has a capacity of 30,000m³ with a plan to extend it to 80,000m³.

Sound Global said: "These two projects protect the quality of drinking water and the eco-system of the Three Gorges Reservoir area, as well as its safety of drinking water, and also plays an important role in building Bazhong City into a National Pilot Area for Urban-Rural Comprehensive Reform."
