The story of the winner of Water Cup 2019 - Surdi village, Barshi taluka (Solapur district). This village heavily depends on grape cultivation and is forced to rely on tankers for many months, since grape is a water-intensive crop. After undertaking massive watershed management work in 2019, the citizens of Surdi are determined to move towards water-efficient crops and become a tanker-mukt village.
