  1. The words "Climate Change" have been banned in the White House. Despite the Trump Administration not wanting to talk about it our environment is warming. Global records continue to break, more heat is a simply a fact. Warmer days and nights in summer are even effecting stored drinking water.

    Microbes love heat.

    More heat means more microbe growth. Over time water storage tanks and towers accumulates sediment. The warm sediment may become a habitat for bacteria, protozoa and viruses. The sediment offers a safe harbor for the contaminants to grow until they have the strength to quickly overwhelm treatment chemicals and put entire communities at risk. Keeping tanks free of sediment has become more important than ever. Keeping tanks free of heat loving microbes will become a major challenge for water utility managers in the future.
