This Company Is Turning Food Waste Into Drinking Water

Company AquaBotanica recently made headlines because of their commitment to producing water sourced entirely from fruit and vegetables.
This Australian award-winning and globally patented innovation helps fresh produce growers minimize food and water wastage.
“Our process can be applied to any fruit or vegetable and has wide-ranging implications for third world countries where the water may not be potable because it’s dirty or contains other contaminants”, says Dr. Bruce Kambouris.
AquaBotanical water is made by filtering and mineralizing the aqueous liquid from juice concentrate. The end result is clear and clean tasting water free of sugars, toxins, and additives. Only some subtle carbonation is added to their sparkling water, but it doesn't include salty or acidic after-taste specific to other mineral waters.
