Wastewater is 100% recoverable for many beneficial uses from fuel to nutrients and irrigation and drinking water Very reasonable WHO Guidelines for direct and indirect potable reuse will be out this summer. The potable reuse requires good technology and good management, but it is really sustainable anywhere when needed and much cheaper than desalination, and it is much safer than most local supplies. Public acceptance is still an understandable problem to be overcome.
