The video shows the differences and similarities between MAR techniques in Bangladesh and The Netherlands
Coastal regions are among the most densely populated areas in the world, with large cities and vast agricultural areas.
One of the most vulnerable coastal area is the south-western coast of Bangladesh, where a few million people suffer
from severe water scarcity. This region requires a substantial amount of fresh water for drinking, domestic needs,
agriculture and freshwater dependent industries. In Bangladesh the Managed Aquifer Recharge (MAR) concept was
implemented by UNICEF, Dhaka University, DPHE and Acacia Water. The MAR concept is implemented as a solutionthat provides communities with access to year-round, sustainable safe drinking water
