Decreasing Water Supply Resulted in Rationing of Water for Household
The town of Weinert, north of Haskell, is now going to Stage 6 water restrictions and imposing some of the toughest restrictions ever in the Big Country.
Because of their decreasing water supply, Weinert residents will be allocated water based on the number of people in their household.
Homes with one or two people will be allowed to use only 3,000 gallons per month.
Those with three or four people will be allowed to use 4,000 gallons per month, those with five or six will be restricted to 5,000 gallons per month, and a household the size of seven or eight will be allowed 6,000 gallons per month.
