Wessex Water Upgrades Water Treatment Works

Wessex Water Has Completed a £13 Million Upgrade of Sutton Bingham Water Treatment Works, which Supplies Water to Yeovil and Surrounding Areas
The work, which was required to ensure the water treatment process continued to meet legislation enforcedby the Drinking Water Inspectorate, will mean we can provide good quality water to local residents for many years to come.
During the upgrade, customers were supplied with water from other sources in the area - but now they will gradually begin to reap the benefits of the newly refurbished water from Sutton Bingham.
Paul Knight, water supply manager at Wessex Water, said: "Customers may notice a slight change in their water supply during the changeover period, but we would like to reassure them that it is nothing to worry about.
"We will be monitoring the water quality throughout the switch in supply and customers will be contacted in advance if they are likely to experience any interruptions."
