Seminar set to discuss ‘fog water’ A two-day seminar in Oman on 24 August will highlight the role and uses of fog water in arid and semi-arid areas, exchanging experiences and ideas in this field, which is seen as important to reducing the water deficit in such regions. The seminar will discuss uses, water quality, technology, the role of fog water in feeding aquifers, particularly coastal ones, combating desertification and improving forest sustainability. Water and Sanitation for Small Towns in Mozambique” Indicative start date of the assignment: 03/09/2012 Deadline for submission of CVs: 06/08/2012 Location: Mozambique Duration: 35wd + 35wd + 18wd+18wd Number of experts requested: 4 1. Water and Sanitation expert (senior, team leader) with proved experience in small piped systems water supply and sanitation service provision. Experience in project formulation under EDF procedures will be an asset. Expertise must include engineering skills to undertake review of available engineering designs. 2. Specific sanitation expert (senior) in urban/small town sanitation, private and public. 3. Financial expert (junior) applied to water and sanitation provision through the Delegated Management Framework including knowledge of tariff setting and cost recovery required. 4. Social and Institutional expert (junior) in the local context such as participatory assessment tools, gender analysis in institutional frameworks with specific knowledge of the Delegated Management Framework adopted in Mozambique.
