As the GRAHAM Asset Management business continues to grow & develop we are looking for an enthusiastic, organised, flexible & experienced Water Hygiene Technician – Legionella Control to join the team & to provide a full range of services under the direction of the regional Account Manager in accordance with our contractual obligations.
The role also includes a development opportunity for Legionella Risk Assessment. GRAHAM Environmental Services are an established service provider in the occupational health & safety and compliance management sector and offer a wide and diverse range of consultancy, monitoring and maintenance services in the field of Water Hygiene, Water Treatment, Asbestos and Fire Risk Management throughout the UK & Ireland.
DESCRIPTION
The Water Hygiene Technician – Legionella Control shall:
- Undertake monitoring and maintenance of building water services as part of a Legionella Control Programme in accordance with ACoP L8 and HSG 274
- Conduct monitoring inspections which will involve temperature testing of water outlets, TMVs, inspection of cold water storage tanks and hot water storage vessels, water sample collection and showerhead disinfection
- Undertake and assist in delivery of maintenance tasks which may include TMV servicing and water system disinfection work
- Carry out inspections which will be undertaken using a PDA and web based electronic log book system
- The role will be based in the University of West England working on a large multi-site contract
PERSON SPECIFICATION TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
Essential Criteria
- Demonstrate previous experience in a similar role
- Demonstrate working knowledge of the respective legislation and guidance material (HSC ACoP L8, HSG 274, Water Regulations)
- Full UK Driving License
Desirable Criteria
- City & Guilds or similar accredited Legionella control training
- Demonstrate Previous Experience in related water system remediation/maintenance works
- Plumbing Experience / Qualification
