The Water Research Foundation (WRF) is currently funding research to quantify the removal of compounds of emerging concern (CECs) through ozone/biologically active filtration (BAF) based treatment of wastewater effluent. The research team is expected to analyze data from past and existing sites to quantify CEC removal and correlated removal efficiency with treatment train design, operations, and water quality parameters.
Anticipated WRF Cost: The maximum funding available for this project is $300,000 . This project is funded by WRF with support from the California State Water Resources Control Board and WRF’s Advancing Potable
Reuse Initiative.
Anticipated Period of Performance: The anticipated period of investigation for this project is 24 months from notice to proceed (NTP). A NTP will be issued to the selected proposer after WRF approval in May 2018, with an anticipated project start date in July.
Proposals Due: Friday, March 23, 2018 by 8:00 pm ET.
