A country's economic growth, quantified as GDP, is supported by three sectors of production: services, industry, and agriculture.
But in developing countries Agriculture, after all, is one of the "real" sectors to which the society's poorest belong,Why is this situation even exists? what can be done to make agriculture more profitable ?

Agriculture, for decades, had been associated with the production of basic food crops. Agriculture and farming were synonymous so long as farming was not commercialized. But as the process of economic development accelerated, many more other occupations allied to farming came to be recognized as a part of agriculture. At present, agriculture besides farming includes forestry, fruit cultivation, dairy, poultry, mushroom, bee keeping, arbitrary, etc. Today, marketing, processing, distribution of agricultural products etc. are all accepted as a part of modern agriculture. these days farmers need to go beyond just crop production, i must say. It is a greedy world and no one is going to help farmers. Industrialist want to grab lands, govt want to earn money and it the farmers are suffering. I am farmer after my studies I opted for farming and believe me, I may not be a sooper rich but not a poor too. I have a small farm and I am happy . Just farmers need to be smart..

Three things: 1- Mankind is the Servant of Nature, not the other way around. 2- Technologies have evolved way too fast compared to our conscience on how to use them properly. 3- Spirituality and Duality: Money has become our true and only God. Materialism is a Great Illusion. Pray now because everytime we try to solve a problem, we end up making things a lot worse. Do we pay the price of our deep, deep ignorance ? Jah Bless.

Farmers take some very simple ingredients seed, soil, water, sun, time and labor and create a commodity that unquestionably every human needs, food. What is wrong with our agro-economic model that is causing the downfall of the individual family farmer?
