Best remedy for disinfection of raw sea water for RO desalination plants.

Hope all of you feel good and healthy in current circumstances

Regarding pretreatment of RO desalination plants, there are different schemes for disinfecting raw sea water. In some plants, hypochlorite is injected into raw water continuously with a moderate dosing rate. Some SWRO plants use shock dosing of chlorine one a day and some use a combination of continuous and shock dosing. 

I was wondering what your successful or interesting experience in this regard dealing with commissioning and operation of SWRO plants.
