Effective Networking

I have received several requests for "connections" from different people on this site.  I am here to share knowledge and experience with other active individuals concerned about water resources. 

To that end, it is essential that anyone wanting to "network" shows that concern and some relevance by their work position and experience, other contacts, summary of interests, and why you want to "connect" with me!  I don't mind associating with newcomers, or even folks looking for sales leads (but I'm not buying). But requests from people with nothing but their name posted are NOT helpful, nor will they be accepted.  If you are serious about this network, at least provide enough information to demonstrate why you want to be here or become a "connection".   This may be affecting other requests that you have forwarded to other members as well.
