Dear members,
Iwould appreciateif anyonetellsme that can we remove heavy metals (ex. uranium & Zirconium) by membrane technology (UF or NF or RO)?
(If anyone has experience in this fieldIwould appreciate if tell me.)

Surely the most economical solution would be ion exchange resin. Factor of radioactivity has to be considered.

RO is a water extractor, and consequently will concentrate the heavy metals of the feed. For removing, you must use EDR, that will extract the metals from the feed. There is an EDR Plant in Czech Republic removing uranium from ground water Another posibility is complexing the ions in bigger particles and removing them with UF, but this is more complicated.
