How is possible comparison between TOC value & mg/l of oils by solvent extraction?

How can we compare TOC and Oil content values in the same analysis?

Can the relationship between the two unit values be direct, or is the relationship 1 to 4 or 1 to 8?

It depends on the oil in question.

You need info on the composition/nature of the Oil being measured to correlate from stoichiometry. Or

You can have multiple TOC & Oil analysis of the same sample to establish the ratio factor.
