How productive and economically are organic farms in Africa?

Organic farming makes a significant contribution to improving food security in Africa. The African Union has launched an initiative in 2011 that strengthens the organic farming and thus contributing to the reduction of poverty and insecurity in the food supply. According to this initiative will be to 2025 ecological management measures integrated into the agricultural policies of member countries.
