iDE proposes using [hydrated] lime, an abundant, cheap product, to kill pathogens present in fecal sludge. Latrines are transformed into incubators for valuable agricultural additives, empowering rural Cambodians to take charge of their sanitation. This project is a recipient of the Stars in Global Health Phase I award.
