Measure the water content of snow

Hallo everybody,

I am new on this network. My name is Dyrk. I am Meteorologist and specialised in applied meteorology. So I started to developed a new system for measure water content of snow. The system based on the volumetric principle. It is use for the mobile manual measurement for long tracks. I would like to ask the experts on this platform for experiences and feedback. What features do you miss in such system? What features do you want to get? Like GPS storage, java support for data storage evaluation.
