Dear all , INeed standard parameters and design procedure for MBR waste water treatment for1000 KLD PLANT capacity. The waste water source if from a paper industry. Also we are interested to know how to optimise the system by knowing what are the best practises to undertake etc.

  1. Dear Mallikarjuna Alapaka The question is very generic and I would need a lot more details before I try to help you - i.e. you need to optimise the system in terms of what? of biology and treated water quality, of membrane performance, of enegry consumption, etc.? However, to start with, I would suggest you get hold of Simon Judd's book titled "The MBR Book", preferably its second edition, that both will make you become more familiar with the membrane bioreactor theory and will have the chance to be provided with case studies that may be of help. 2. For all it is necessary to make a study of the pollution contained in these industrial waste waters. The characterized presence of the pollutants will determine the treatment to exploit. Another approach which comes from the Biological A.B Cleansing. The traditional cleansing of domestic waste waters use a universal practice which is filtration some soity the origin of the effluent. In Biological A.B Cleansing the first of our actions is to know the place of emission of this effluent, to decipher the products used, to see all those which can be eliminated or replaced by less toxic products.
