Oil Removal From Condensate Water
Published on by Ali Salmani, Process Engineer in Technology
Dear Members;
We need a system for condensate water de-oiling in a refinery.Oil content is often 15 ppm but sometimes reaches to 100ppm. The rest of the data is as follows:
- T= 80-100 ËC
- PH= 6-6.5
- Q(Normal)=300 m3/h
- Q(Max.)=360 m3/h
Oil in Outlet Should be: <0.5 ppm
Now, what is your technical proposal for this situation that has an optimal design and also be cost-effective?
* It should be noted that oil isin both conditionsof dissolved and emulsify.

2 stage hydrocyclone separation, followed by DHRR + polyballs filters can bring it down to

dissolved air flotation should help you,

According to the studies that I have done for such a low amount of oil normally used resin coalescer filter And in the next step of bringing the oil to near zero, a carbon filter is used.
