Increased demands with growing populations and climate change effects on the water cycle, are posing greater threats to sustainability of basins globally. The goals of Integrated River Basin Management (IRBM) have not been met, partly due to the lack of a common language bringing together the perspectives of multiple stakeholders in a clear and comparable way.
