The Seed security for food security is an achievable goal once actions are taken to address the various issues involved in its success. The extent to which it becomes a mirage will depend on how slack is our resolve to deal with the issues involved. The various interventions required to ensure stable undisputed seed supply and meet future challenges can only be achieved through co-operation between government and the international community. Thus, seed security for food security can only be achieved in the country-Pakistan, if strategies and mechanisms are designed to protect the local crop diversity and improve the seed supply sector.
