17th African Water Association Congress

The African Water Association (AfWA) Congress is a scientific and technical forum to assess how things stand in water, sanitation and environment sector in Africa. It's held every other year.
The 17th Congress will be held in Abidjan from 17 to 20 February 2014 under the theme:" Mobilizing Resources and Governance of Water and Sanitation in Africa ".
The Congress will involve a number of technical sessions, workshops, side events, B-to-B and one-to-one meetings, International Exhibition and a host of other networking possibilities.
The two AfWA recent Congresses held in March 2010 in Kampala, Uganda and February 2012 in Marrakesh, Morocco, were successful in terms of delegate participation (1600 and 900) from Africa and other countries outside the continent. The attendees of AfWA Congress are utility managers, policy makers, donors, academicians, researchers, utility managers, international development and cooperation agencies, students, young water professionals, NGOs.
