6th International Short Course and Conference on Applied Coastal Research

The National Laboratory for Civil Engineering (LNEC) in Lisbon (Portugal), the International Association of Hydraulic Engineering and Research (IAHR), the Coasts, Oceans, Ports and Rivers Institute (COPRI) and the Engineering Department of the University of Salento (Italy) have the pleasure to invite all engineers, physicists, mathematicians, geologists and oceanographers and all others who have an interest in coastal engineering to attend this short course/conference.
The aim of the 6th SCACR is to provide all participants with information on the latest developments from both scientific and engineering perspectives in coastal and port engineering and to exchange views with users and stake holders of the coastal zone. Four lectures will be held by specialists in coastal engineering and research. Technical papers will be presented during the different sessions.
SCACR is addressed to both MSc and PhD students, together with scholars and specialists who want to present their papers and to attend the seminar lectures dealing with some of the most recent advances in present coastal research. The Course/Conference aims at stimulating informal discussions between young professionals, students and the more experienced researchers.
All accepted and presented papers will be published in the 6th SCACR Proceedings sponsored by IAHR and COPRI. An award will be given to the best poster and oral presentation.
