The water sector faces many challenges that must be solved – achieving net zero emissions, preventing leaks, ending the overuse of storm overflows, tackling pollution, restoring nature and adapting to the impact of climate change – all whilst ensuring that customers are properly served.

Join us to hear more about the launch of the second round of the £7.5m Water Discovery Challenge which aims to accelerate the discovery, development and adoption of promising innovations by the water sector. Part of Ofwat’s Water Innovation Fund, this £7.5m programme is delivered collaboratively by Challenge Works, Arup and Isle.  

Chaired by Ben Kidd, Research Leader in the UK, India, Middle East and Africa at Arup University, this session invites the audience, including potential applicants, to engage with innovation experts and winners from the first round of the Discovery Challenge as they discuss the challenges new innovators face breaking into the water sector and how Discovery creates a pathway for disruptive solutions to be developed, implemented and scaled in the sector.
