AWRA Annual Water Resources Conference 2015

The mile-high city of Denver, Colorado will host this year's American Water Resources Association (AWRA) Annual Conference on Water Resources. Starting on Monday morning, November 16 and ending Thursday afternoon, November19, the conference will be held in downtown Denver at the Grand Hyatt Hotel Denver. Please join us for an engaging week of cutting edge presentations on timely water resources issues, and for dialogue with fellow water resource movers and shakers from across the country and throughout the world.

A diverse group of water resources professionals are scheduled to present their latest research and case studies, discuss current hot topics, and share new ideas. Among the approximately 500 conference attendees you will find people from all walks of water life and interests. Denver's location in the shadow of the Rocky Mountains provides an opportunity to explore a beautiful and fascinating area as you network and strengthen your professional community.

The Conference Planning Committee has created an incredible program from the submitted abstracts. Presenters from all over the country and around the world will be sharing their research and experiences in over 85 oral technical sessions and a large poster session. What an opportunity to explore the water resources challenges that are faced by water resources professionals the world over. The sessions address timely water issues such as water stewardship; pharmaceuticals/personal care products in wastewater; alluvial aquifer recharge; agricultural water conservation; exploring water-related tradeoffs of oil/gas development through the lens of social and economic systems; Western water law; innovative technologies; water and petroleum production; coastal challenges and a number of other current topics of interest. On Tuesday, Nov. 17, there will be a special track on the "Open Water Data Initiative & National Flood Interoperability Experiment". Part of this track includes "lightning talks" which are 5 minute talks on two topics. Check out the " Call for Lightning Talks " for more information on participating in this track.

This AWRA Annual Conference represents a perfect opportunity for practitioners and policy makers across the spectrum of the water resources community to share their experiences, learn from one another, and share their outlooks on and visions for the future of water resources. Join us in Denver and take part in a technical program the depth and scope of which will allow you to take advantage of everything AWRA has to offer- four days of community, conversation, and connections that will benefit all water resource professionals. See you in Denver!
