As global demand for Australian resources remains high across the iron ore, coal and gold sectors it is putting immediate pressure on current marine infrastructure to meet this demand and retain its competitive position globally. Strategic investments are occurring right now for marine infrastructure to be developed, port dredging to create wider berths and deeper channels, breakwater design to manage tides as well as the continuous coastal engineering to rehabilitate and maintain existing coastal structures. To add to this, as climate change becomes more evident it is imperative you take action now and adapt marine infrastructure to withstand future environmental predictions.
