IWA European Utility Management Conference

Utilities represent the largest single membership segment for IWA , with a concentration of members in the European region. For this reason, every two years IWA organises the European Utility Conference (EUC), which aims to bring together utility professionals from across the region to network and discuss issues related to water and wastewater utility strategy, policy and management.

The next EUC is scheduled to take place in Oslo, Norway May 14-16 2014; jointly organised by IWA and Oslo vann-og avløpsetat (VAV)/ Oslo Water and Sewerage Works. Furthermore, the European Water Association (EWA) and the European Federation of National Associations of Water and Wastewater Services (EUREAU) are supporting the event making this a unique opportunity for all those involved in utility management across the region to be in the same place at the same time.

Building on conferences staged in Maastricht (2007), Paris (2008), Barcelona (2010) and Vienna (2012) and complementing a new series of conferences aimed at Improving Utility Performance in Emerging Economies (Tirana, Albania - May 2013), the EUC 2014 will have a forward looking agenda that helps utility managers to better anticipate what lies ahead. Over 200 delegates from utilities, consultants, regulatory authorities and other key stakeholders involved in water and wastewater services are expected to participate in two days of sessions.
