Micropollutants Conference 2026

Overview

Micropollutants Conference 2026

Following the success of last year’s British Water Micropollutant Conference, we are delighted to announce the next instalment of this conference in September 2026 in Cambridge. British Water will continue the conversation on how micropollutants affect the water sector under the theme  ' Micropollutants in Focus: Policy, Evidence and Practice Across the Water Cycle '   .

Our speakers will provide the latest insight into evolving legislation, policy initiatives and research related to micropollutants, while exploring how the sector can accelerate progress and scale novel solutions, address critical blockers and strengthen cross-sector collaboration to mitigate associated risks. As in previous events, our conference provides an excellent opportunity to engage with stakeholders and experts from government, water companies, consultancy, technology providers and academia.

Dr Robert Bradburne is the Environment Agency’s Chief Scientist. He leads a talented team in the Chief Scientist’s Group working on science, innovative ways of monitoring the environment, analysing data and reporting on the state of the environment. He provides scientific advice to SAGE during major incidents and has twenty years’ experience working in government. He sits on or chairs on a range of science committees and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Biology.

I'm really looking forward to this. The policy updates are important, but I'm even more interested in hearing what has actually worked in the field. Learning from real projects and honest discussions about the challenges should make this a valuable event. https://block-blast.io
