Water is vital and a stressed natural resource. Population growth, economic growth and related industrial growth, urbanization are increasing the demand for water. Climate changes are resulting in uncertain and fluctuating supply of water increasing the stress on infrastructure. Unsecured ground water levels are increasing the water stress index. Therefore planning and management of water resources needs a lot of attention. Technology transfer and capacity building in water resource management is need of the hour. The planned conference brings together the persons with technical expertise and experience and share their knowledge of advanced technologies among various stake holders.
