Nutrient Removal, Remediation, Recycling and Repurposing Webinar
Sept 10th, 9am-10pm (central)
Learn about the removal and reduction of harmful algae blooms in waterways affecting fishing, swimming, tourism, real estate values, local economies and a health risk to humans and animals. They can also affect drinking water.
Areas of discussion:
• Harmful algae blooms affecting waterways in 50 states. https://www.ewg.org/key-issues/water/toxicalgae.
• Nutrient runoff creating devastating algae blooms and HABs in waterways.
States, counties, algae task forces, lake associations and coastal waterways are looking for commercial solutions. After decades of research, testing and monitoring they have not fixed any of these devastating problems.
They worsen every year!
Immediate action that is needed! The algae bloom, HAB and red tide commercial remediation costs in one state alone is estimated to be up to $3 trillion dollars.
Presentations and discussions will focus around end-to-end, holistic commercial pilot tests and scale up of decentralized removal, remediation and reduction of nitrogen and phosphorus at non-point sources before entering waterways and simultaneously working together with deployed commercial remediation technologies on lakes and coastlines.
