Study on FFA Adsorption in Superheater Circuits

On October 7th, 2025, Fineamin will present one of the recent research studies on the adsorption of filming amines / OLDA onto a metal surface from dry steam.
Using a pilot boiler setup, metal plate specimens were exposed to superheated steam, generated with Fineamin-treated feedwater. The adsorption of FFA on the metal plate was measured by Infrared (IR) Spectroscopy and then compared against specimens where the steam was treated with Ammonia.
The test was done in collaboration with Helmut Schmidt University in Hamburg, Germany.
