The 12th International Conference on Watershed & River Basin Management, event to be held by the International Water Association (IWA) and the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE), still has openings for registrations of participants. The event will be held 13-16 September at the Golden Tulip Hotel (Boa Viagem Avenue, 4070). The conference intends to discuss innovative initiatives on watershed management and water resources, and discuss issues like climate change, flood control and protection of water supplies. National and international researchers will share in the conference results of several scientific papers in order to consolidate and expand the activities of the IWA. In the vast programming, a lecture on "Integration Project of the São Francisco River Basin", to be administered by the Representative of the Ministry of National Integration, Brazil, roundtables, as "The challenges of watershed management for the XXI Century" and "Protection of water resources versus climate change" and oral work, such as "Watershed Management I" and "climate Change I".
