UNESCO-IHE Florida Program - The Water Professionals

Since 2005 Florida Earth has hosted the UNESCO-IHE Hydroinformatics Department in a three week course designed to give MSc and PhD students studying computer modeling of water resources the opportunity to learn about models used in the Everglades Restoration programs and see first-hand what they model.  When the 2016 class of 41 students from 25 countries finishes the course they will join 220 alumni from 48 countries who have gone through the program.

Tuesday, May 24 – Morning SFWMD Lectures at PBAU and Afternoon at Kissimmee River and Lake Okeechobee

Wednesday, May 25 – Morning SFWMD Lectures at PBAU and afternoon at STA-1E & W and C-51 Project

Thursday, May 26 – Morning Lectures at SFWMD and afternoon at Grassy Waters

Friday May 27 - Lectures at SFWMD with certificates presentation

Saturday, May 28 – Trip to Kennedy Space Center hosted by NASA Earth Sciences, Sunday, May 29 – Free time

Monday, May 30 –  Memorial Day, TBD.  We need to figure out what to do this day.  Normally this is BNP & ENP.
