Water and the Green Economy

Following on from from previous seminars, ICID.UK is hosting this one-day conference on Water and the Green Economy. This will be from an agricultural point of view, however the interpretation of agriculture, water and the economy will be wide and include the farm production, water conservation, productivity, the food chain, the private sector and consumer demand and behaviours. The term green economy implies economic growth alongside a decreasing consumption of natural capital - UNEP's working definition considers a green economy to be one which results in improved human well-being and social equity, while significantly reducing environmental risks and ecological scarcities.
