Mr. Akbar Ali Khatian is a young multi disciplinary development professional having M.Phil/MS in Environmental Science from Department of Environmental Science, University of Sindh Jamshoro, in addition. He has also acquired international diploma in Integrated Water Management from Westvalaams Economisch Studie Bureau (WES) Assebroek -Brugge Belgium.

Mr. Khatian possess about 18 years professional experience of development projects funded by International Donors. His expertise are related to Environmental Management, Impact Assessment including Project Management, Capacity Building, Research and Development, Coordination, Monitoring and Evaluation activities, Institutional Reforms, Strengthening and Capacity Building and Community Participatory Approach. Mr. Khatian have also experience of designing, budgeting, implementing, monitoring & evaluating projects. Since, he has extensive experience in project implementation, management of natural resources, human resources, and office management, since he performed his duties mostly He mostly worked funded projects He has also done voluntary/honorary work with the communities at different levels. Mr. Khatian performed his duties in Government sector, Non Government Development Organizations in the different capacities. 

He performed his duties in remote rural areas of Sindh, Punjab and Khyber Pakhtoon Khuwa provinces (NWFP). Thus, he is well aware of Environmental and Social behaviours of rural and semi rural areas.
