Retired secondary (11-18 years) teacher of science. Returned to academia in 2013 and now researching Lepidoptera in their habitat, mainly moorland habitat in the Derbyshire Peak District.

I have an interest in educational matters, learning styles and teaching methods.

Karate instructor (Wado-Ryu, 2nd Dan) and a so called musician. I have played guitar and bass since 1974 and currently play gigs that feature songs mainly from the 1950's to the 1980's.
