I am trained as a glacial geologist and paleoclimatologist. I conduct research in remote polar regions including Alaska, Canada, Greenland, Svalbard and Antarctica. I have taken these skills in glaciers and ice sheet change and parlayed them into Carlson Climate Consulting LLC. We focus on predicting future snowpack in mountainous regions to aid winter and summer recreation industries, agriculture, hydroelectric power, forestry and the communities that rely upon this resource. Carlson Climate Consulting also offers regional to local climate assessments for interested policy makers and stakeholders.
