I work within the Natural Resource Administration, Watershed Protection Division, Planning and Restoration Branch. I am focused on stormwater management, NPDES, TMDL permits, residential run-off retention, using GIS applications, GRTS reporting, RiverSmart Homes program and project management, Low Impact Development installations, targeted community outreach, program efficacy research, grant management and field-based impact assessment.

• Grant Management; RFPs, RFAs, Proposal Review and Issuance, contract management, MOUs (interagency, local and federal)

• Vendor Relations; developing more sustainable product access

• Field-Based; 1300 site-specific urban stormwater mitigation audits

• Design and Build; ESRI ArcGIS, Google Sketch-Up, site-specific mitigation planing 

• Training; provide semi-annual contractor training for best practice in LID installation

• GIS tool development; currently developing a web-based field tool for LID site design and post-construction review

• EPA Grant Reporting and Tracking System (GRTS); Lead representative for District of Columbia’s 319 reporting. NPDES MS4; annual review installations of BMPs and calculate pollutant load reductions for MS4 permit

• Executed large scale Social Behavior Studies

• I have met with hundreds of members of the general public in order to discuss BMPs for stormwater. In the form of one-on-one residential consults, community meetings of 10 to 40 attendees, community outreach events/fairs/parades of 50-150 attendees and professional development conferences where I have connected with 50 or more peers.
