I joined the Water Development Department of the Cyprus Government in November 2008, as an Executive Engineer in the Project Planning Unit. I am currently responsible for planning water projects, undertaking Environmental Assessments and Feasibilities Studies. I am also responsible for various water management related issues. Since 2010 I am a member of the WFD Implementation Team and the Water Development Department GIS Implementation Team.
During my employment by the Research Promotion Foundation (2006-2008) I was the National Contact Point for ERC and JRC, coordinated activities for the promotion of FP7 in Cyprus and I was a member of the Public Authorities Board of JT ARTEMIS.
As a member of the staff of the Cyprus Institute of Technology (March 2001-September 2007) I participated in various European Research Projects related to Technology Transfer and Innovation. I was a full member of the Innovation Relay Centrers Thematic group of ICT and participated in various Transnational Technology Transfer Events that took place in Europe. Until recently I was also the chairman of the Cyprus Internet Exchange (CyIX) committee. As a staff of the Cyprus Institute of Technology, I was also involved in evaluating National Granting Schemes for SME’s. Visiting and auditing the SMEs, evaluate proposals submitted for funding and the evaluation of the submitted studies was part of my duties.
