Badraldin Salih, WASH

About

I am a professional Water Engineer and water Projects Manager with strong organizational and analytical skills. I have six years of experience in the INGOs, earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Geology/hydrogeology from the University of Juba in Sudan. While working as a Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene Promotion (WASH) Officer with Norwegian Church Aid (NCA) Darfur  Programme in Sudan, I have  supervised 27 project staff and community based workers, also managed donations from different donors included UN-CHF, BMZ (Germany fund), Norwegian Television and match/CAFOD funding. In this career, I helped in improving the water and sanitation status of Internally Displaced People (IDPs) and rural villages mainly in central Darfur state, Sudan. Although the operation environment is difficult to advocate on behalf of the community, but still managed to raise the voices of beneficiaries to the relevant authorities, and that was through forming village committees who have been trained on advocacy beside WASH related issues, the committees managed to maintain people’s right to services. Through these experiences, developed strong project coordination, implementation skills and leadership.
